Oh my, first entry in 2010. hahaha! this blog is goin to hell seriously..

BUT no! Not going to let that happen. Must do all it takes to my maintain it. Must update constantly, at the very least once a week to keep our dear readers (mainly the contributors of this blog themselves) informed and entertained with any piece of news worth sharing.

For instance today, I met with Mel Koo and CY for lunch at NKee coffee shop in Ara Damansara. MUST try the curry laksa! Best in town. I'd recommend you go with the curry laksa boss's daughter. don't ask why, just do it!

Pathetic? yah, I know but what do you expect from an unemployed to write? Stuff that you already read online meh?

Worldly stuff and my opinions on those issues? Not intelligent enough to give my opinions, plus i don't want my opinions to be judged. you'll never know - what if by some miracle our blog do get discovered and read by more than 10 ppl (yippeeee!)

I've got issues with blogging

I'm back! after my last post in umm..6 months? What moved my blogging reflects after such a long break? I dunno, maybe cuz i'm sitting in the office at 12.00am with not much to do but reflect on the day/week/month. Even then, i'm having trouble thinking what to write for my ONE loyal reader ;)

I'm not exactly the type who'd blog shamelessly about myself, how I feel, what I ate, who I met, etc..you know the typical day in life story you read on other blogs. Honestly I do find that annoying and rather self centered which explains the inconsistency with my blogging. Even twitting! A 140 character limit micro blog, I find it hard to express some things I want to say. WHY? is it really cuz there really is nothing to say, or is jus cuz I'm afraid that whatever I say will be judged by others? Like how I JUDGED them for being self centered. As I began to dig deeper, I come to the realization that blogs or other social media network i.e. twitter, FB and such is just another outlet for ppl to share their opinions on any particular subject/news even as an avenue to express themselves in the ways they find most comfortable with. So why should sharing their piece of news be seen as self centered? I mean, if it does irritate one that much, there is the option of IGNORING IT.

Perhaps this is where my writer's block or twitting block developed. The fear of what others would think of me and my opinions. It has become so bad that I would read my twits over and over again just to be sure that i don't sound too stupid, too cocky, too expressive, too self-centered, too much of everything. And by then end of it, I will either delete or jus reply to other followers' twit. Let's not even mention blogging..just take a look at the number of post i have here, clearly you can see how insecure I am when it comes to that.

So is there a solution to this? Can I pluck up the courage to blog or twit whatever I want, disregarding what others will think of me? NO! I dun think so. Not in the near future. And having said all this, I think this posting is damn boring!

Far from Selamba Saturday

Usually Saturdays are selamba days. After a late Friday night out, Saturday mornings are usually non-existent as you wake up in time for lunch. Last Saturday was far from selamba as I participated in my 1^st Canon Photo Marathon. What’s a photo marathon? Well, in 3 words: “ run, take photo”.

You literally run around the place, taking photos according to the theme that they have given you. The venue was Sunway Lagoon Theme Park this year. 3 cons:

1. Food & drinks were atrociously priced. RM5 for a can of drink and RM10 for a pack of chicken rice.
2. Limited area resulting in similar shots from participants
3. Being a theme park, it was hard to avoid the harsh sun throughout the day.

3 pros on the other hand:
1. Bikini Girls
2. Bikini Girls
3. Bikini Girls

As this was my virgin attempt at a photo marathon, I didn’t really know what to expect. Organisers did a below average job in terms of the event. There were delays (inevitable as we live in a country called Foreverlatesia), technical faults (they should have made sure servers were able to take the load) and they didn’t have a proper mode of communication when we were all out there taking photos.

The themes for the day were: (1) SPLASH! (2) Red (or like how Ms. Booms will say it, RAD) (3) Shooting in progress

Here are my rather disappointing shots that I submitted. Wasn’t thinking out of the box enough.

Theme 1 - Splash: I think about a hundred other photos submitted were like this! :(

Theme 2 - Red: Realized that the girl actually looked kinda scary after submitting the pic. :(

Theme 3 - Shooting in progress: Was hoping to be out of the norm with this.

And here are the rest of the images that I would have submitted if we were allowed to do minor minor edits.

Due to the technical difficulties, the organisers couldn’t announce the winners on the day itself, and sent the participants packing at 10pm. They have recently announced the winners on their Facebook group. Nothing really fantastic in my personal opinion. But judging is really subjective. So it’s hard to argue on whether the image deserved to win or not. 1st prize winner was a Canon 400D user, who apparently has been in photography for 2 weeks! O_O

All in all, for a 7am – 7pm affair, I had loads of fun, met new friends, saw lots of bikini girls and turned 3 shades darker. Will try to take part in next year’s and this time, will definitely try to think out of the box more!

We've been quite quiet these days. (Only on this blog, have you seen us during lunch/dinner/mamak or drinking sessions?) As there hasnt been much happening. Oh yea, we had that huge PDDW (Port Dickson Debauchery Weekend) to celebrate one of our Fab 4's birthday bash. Everyone got smashed (literally into the pool) in PD, will try to steal the photo's off Mel's FB soon.

Just thought we'd give recognition to someone that has been really supportive of F4P1 all these while, and commenting even on one liner blog entries.

Of Clear Blue Skies & Cotton Candy Clouds

Was driving around a lot today, and couldn't help but notice that the skies have cleared up so much. Unlike the hazy past few weeks, the sky was a clear blue today. Filled with white fluffy cotton candy clouds. Its times like these that makes me wish I had my camera with me everywhere I go. Or at least, have a phone with a better camera.

The sky was still a vivid blue while I was approaching home at about 7pm, and after that inspirational trip to Singapore, felt that I needed to snap.

Something.
Anything.

Got home, changed, grabbed the camera bag, got the sister to tag along, and started trekking down to the intersection of Jaya One. Sat down on the divider and started snapping away.

Kinda happy with the results, but should have cleaned the lens BEFORE snapping. Not AFTER! :(

Since the magical hour was still applicable, the sis and I ran over to Jaya One, and started searching for a place to start snapping. We found our way to one of the rooftops, plonked the tripod down, and snapped a rather uncluttered skyline. As with the other image, my editing skills still have much to improve.

I'm turning a quarter of a century old this year, and I have numerous friends around my age getting hitched. A good buddy is moving into that zone in October. Thought it would be nice to go on a road (day) trip with the high school buddies, and take loads of pics along the way. And that was what we did! AWESOME! :)

Introducing, the couple. Alex and Dorothy, who met when they were in Uni in the UK, and guess what? At a Church conference. Hmmmm...are you thinking what I'm thinking? :) It was a really casual trip. Where we went all over Melaka, and snapped whenever, wherever, however we wanted to.

Doesn't this look like a castle in the middle of a bamboo forest? Or do I just have a vivid imagination?

Oh not to forget that it was a major makan trip as well. We really ate non stop. We were a little hobbits. We had 3 breakfasts, 2 lunches, tea, and dinner. Nearly had space for supper. NEARLY!

For a 5 year old's party, last night was a night of might and mayhem. We know who provided the might AND mayhem eh. Big thank you to @kenWei316 (Stuff's Editor) for the invites, the free booze (and OJ on the rocks) and a whole lot of entertainment.

Emcees for the night, Natalie and Ean from Hitz.Fm kept the audience pumped up with the silly stage games, loads of lucky draw prizes, and poking fun at winner's names. (Kinda glad they didnt draw my name card from the box. It wouldn't have been worth the humiliation to win a wireless keyboard and 2 mouses/mice)

Ken's got this "I've got a take-over-the-world-plan scheeming in my head" look.

There's this one person, that was so famous by name (which totally describes how he looks) but have never met before. Finally had the privilege of meeting @simonbotak. No guessing how he looks like eh.

I was actually there on official work matter as well. My client Dell, won the Reader's Choice Award for the Best Desktop. So had to take photos of Dell's representative, Tony accepting the award. :)

The organisers didn't do too bad with the party. There were ample booze to make sure the crowd was kept happy. Green bottles and red labels filled the table tops. Rowdy guys wanting to win the next lucky draw prize and pretty chicks filled the dance floor.

The Reds go marching on!

It's been a long long while since I've written anything. And I sort of promised our reader(s) that I will take more effort and actually write a proper post *clears throat* and not a one liner and call it a post.
As you might have already known, the Red Devils were in town for the Manchester United Asia Tour 2009. Playing in Malaysia, Indonesia, Korea and China. With Malaysia being their first stop, it was a great opportunity for the team to show off the brand new kit as well.

To be really honest, I didn't fancy the new kit so much when I first saw the "preview" images. But after a while, hey, it doesn't look that bad eh. It's still too expensive for me to get one now. I've not been buying the kits for quite a few seasons now. :(

Nike being one of our clients, I had the greatest privilege to help out at the Nike Man Utd press conference, where I got to see the great Rio Ferdinand, Darren Fletcher, Nani and Darron Gibson up close but not too personal. At the press conference, found out a few things.
#1 - Rio Ferdinand is not on Twitter, and he is quite a funny fella.
#2 - Darren Fletcher being a Scot, speaks clearer English than Sir Fergie.
#3 - Nani can hardly speak English. Boy, its time to learn. Summore want to change Maths & Science back to BM la!

After the press conference, I rushed down to Bukit Jalil for the training session. Nothing much happened, but it was a good opportunity to get to see the players in person. Now, there is a Man Utd legend that every Man Utd fan would know, and Nike organised a coaching clinic with some school kids. The clinic was conducted by none other that Bryan Robson. Though I did not get any autographs from any of the Man Utd players or former players. It was a great experience all together.
As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words, here are a few thousand for you to slowly digest. GLORY GLORY MAN UTD!

Frugal Lunch Campaign!

In view of many of us complaining about our lack of funds and the shrinking value of our moolahs, me and my beloved colleagues will embark on a FRUGAL LUNCH CAMPAIGN!

Each week max 50 bucks, if mon-thurs we spend less than 10 each, friday we can celebrate with whatever left for the week to reward ourselves! :) And if we spent all on mon-thur, friday we go on a fast! :( Of course it will be bonus too when have generous souls to belanja us... muahahahaha...

I know, I know. I’ve gone MIA for a while now. I’m sorry to our two…and only two existing readers of FabFour about my sudden disappearance. haha! Just that I haven’t got much to share ..heee!
Well, not up until yesterday at least, after watching the finale of the fourth season of “The Biggest Loser”

In case you’re not a fan of this famed weight loss reality TV show, “The Biggest Loser” airing in the US for many seasons already (where else would you find an endless supply of obese people but the States right?)

Anyway, her name’s Jillian Michaels, one of the hotter and sexier trainers from the TV show. Besides being known for screaming lovingly in the contestants’ faces, this sexalicious trainer has actually trained all the winning contestants in each season!

mmm… looove the tight and taut abs. Wonder what would I have to give to be half as fit as her. I’m saying half as fit..not even going to attempt to look as FIT as her.

I hope with this sudden detox trend that we’re all following, will motivate us to eat healthy, drink less and exercise more. Having said that I’m not planning to starve myself and binge on fruits, I need my staple to survive the day in office. I’ve chosen to take the easier option of going cold turkey on alcohol for one week (if possible two weeks) and see how it progress from there. Wish me luck :)

There are plenty of detox program you can choose from- alcohol, fruit juice, lemon etc..by the end of the programme, we will reward ourselves with a getaway in Genting Highlands..Grand prize awaits you there! Wedding Bells

Took my first non-family wedding job today. Had a blast, and I think I'm getting a hang of it. By the time Alex & Dot's wedding in October, I'm sure I would have leveled up to a semi pro already! :) *self loathing smug*

The one painful lesson that I learned from today's shoot was that, technolgy seems to always fail you at the best of times. I spent 4 hours after the morning "chum char" session to finish up the slideshow, and the restaurant didnt have the facilities to handle a laptop. And it was also my negligence not to make various file formats of the video.

Since the guests didnt have the opportunity to see the wonderful slideshow that I did. I thought that I'd let you guys see it instead. :)

Clear Skies - Arcrylic on canvas

@eleanorng & @yu11us asked me to join them at a friend's art pad on Saturday evening. Saw a few artists painting, and that inspired me. I had a few canvases lying around, and thought, I might give it a try. This is the resulting experiment. Not too bad for a 1st timer eh! Will see what else I can cook up! Thanks for the inspiration guys.

Earlier this week, I asked on Twitter, which of the seven days in a week, do you hate most. Mine was Blue Monday, and Where-was-the-weekend Sunday. Well, I'm going through the last few hours of the latter, and not looking forward to the former.

The Pantry Tour

Our office pantry is bursting with food.

After a season of drought (ie. no food), it seems like we've arrived at the land flowing with milk and honey.

Come, let me give you a tour around the pantry.

(They don't call me the Pantry Inventory Officer for nothing. Gotta do my job.)

Ice cream in abundance. And not just any ice cream kay, this is premium quality, various-flavours kind of ice cream.

The in-house favourite? Jamoca Almond Fudge. *ahem ahem hint hint*

Next, the famous Him Heang pneah all the way from Penang.

How can you forget, good ol' MAMEE. Brings us back to our schooling days. Comes complete with Optimus Prime stickers.

Japanese rice crackers. Look, even the packaging tells you to 'WANT WANT' it.

We don't only have Jap crackers, but we beli buatan Malaysia. Keropok Ikan Segera. Not Cap Kaki, not Cap Tangan, but Cap Mangkuk dan Keropok. Hahaha!
And if you need the assurance, ia "Boleh di makan selalu."

Show me the lurve.. Love letters. My favourite to start each morning. I have at least 6 everyday.

And our latest addition: DUNKIN DONUTS!

Never knew Dunkin Donuts had these funky-looking donuts, square-shaped and got sesame seeds some more.

What's the story? Morning glory!

I'm actually typing this on the way back to KL. Yesterday's Oasis concert was nothing short of pure awesomeness. If only I had mobile web access, this would be posted up right away. Sadly, by the time this gets posted, it would have been many many many hours later. Inspired by cyber-red, here's my own haiku:

What's the story? Morning glory,
The British boys were around,
And boy did they rock the house down!

Packed was the freaking stadium,
But hot it was not,
Unlike our very own Stadium Negara with no air, no air!

Gigs are of pure awesomeness!
But only if I go alone, and not "alone",
Just so that the focus in on stage, and no where else!

Distraction is what i need,
A target to achieve,
A mission to accomplish.

Short fun trip it has been,
Loving the island more and more,
So lets not look back in anger anymore.

Mel's review of first quarter 2009

Yeeeeshhhh!!! We just bid farewell to the first quarter of 2009 and jeng jeng jeng......i've achieved my weight-loss goals!!! Clap clap clap... thank you thank you thank you....

So you see, i need to shed off at least 40kgs which sound totally unachievable :( BUT when i break it down.... like this:

two years = 40kgs
1 year =20kgs
1 year = 4 quarters
1 quarter = 3 months = 5kgs
1 month = 1.66666666kg!
1 day = 0.05555555kg!!!!

see! totally achievable eh! and...... i lost EIGHT kilos!!!!!!! clap clap clap....

now onto some proof of my weight loss... hehehe...

this was end of last year when i was in india! yesh... i was 124kg! omegosh!! no wonder i'm always tired and sleepy :p

and.... tada!!! this was me beggining of March....can see abit of improvements right? hehe

and this is my fav photo so far!! no double chin!!! yayyyy!!! good photo by cheem!! hehehe

oklahh... now to my ice cream! oops... after achieving 8kgs... can reward myself abit lar right? :)

Instant Gratification

Someone on the Lomographyasia Forum posted this really cool idea of using instant film in a TLR. Tried doing it but the results were'nt that great. So what I did was experiment abit further, and loaded the instant film into my Diana F+ instead. The results! Same dreamy Diana effect, but you get to see the pic in 90secs!! The only shot that turned out right from the pack of 10films though. Lots more to learn.

Taken with Instax Mini 7s in a Diana F+, the image still has that dreamy Diana effect.

Sunburst KL 2009

The awesome stage that was built by Clef
Well, as mentioned in my previous post, Sunburst KL 2009 was just pure awesomeness. All the bad thoughts and cussing before the festival itself has gone out the window. Only until the very next day. The organisers got themselves into a lot of trouble when N.E.R.D. canceled their Jakarta gig (Sunday) on that very morning, citing that they did not want to experience the same treatment they had when they were in Msia. Apparently their passports were held on to by Msian authorities as the organisers did not have the proper permits for them to perform. Ah, who cares about that eh! As long as they put on a f'kin good show, and I had a f'kin good time! Hell yeah! Now, the organisers were in quite abit of trouble in 08's festival, when festival goers snapped pics of the artists on stage shirtless. So this year, they were really strict with the "No-Camera Rule". Funny thing is, they feel that only DSLRs are capable of taking pics that are worthy to be uploaded on the internet to be of a threat to them, hence compact cameras and every other phone that has a friggin camera attached to it is allowed into the festival! With a stroke of luck, and a few really good friends (who risked their lives), I managed to smuggle my gear in, and here are some of the pics on that night! ENJOY!

Really need some much deprived sleep. But just had to jot this quick update before I head off to Lala land.

Sunburst was all in all....LEGEND.....wait for it DARY! All thanks to N.E.R.D and the rock gods; KORN. Was worth every single cent that I paid for the ticket, eventhough phone calls offering me free tix came in the moment i agreed to buy the tix! :( Security was really really tight, and they were body searching the guys (yes, touch beckside as well) so I asked Ms. JJ Tan if she could help me smuggle my camera in. Which she did! Albeit getting into trouble with the security and subsequently her colleagues. So yes, I owe her BIG TIME. Managed to snap 1000++ pics, so give me some time before I upload them ya.

Pharrel and N.E.R.D put on such an engaging performance, that I believe everyone there was jumping to every single beat man. KORN was just PURE AWESOMENESS! Jonathan Davies apologised, as they took 15 years to come to Malaysian shores to perform. Well ofcourse, with all the restrictions that they have, I am pleasantly surprised how they let them in this time? I think the organisers were rolling in their graves as N.E.R.D and KORN broke every other rule there was in the rule book.

The weekend (weekend? what weekend?) just came and gone. I don't understand how two full days can go by faster just because they are named Saturday and Sunday. Damn! If only the next two days; Monday and Tuesday can go by as fast! Last weekend wasn't that bad after all, though it zoomed by lightspeed. Managed to cramp a number of activities into that tiny two days.

Key highlight is that I'm gonna climb Big K - Mount Kinabalu in June. YES!! I've been wanting to climb, and was looking around for kakis, when my buddy from Sg mentioned that he was keen. Sad to say though, we were abit too late to book a climb this year. But lo and behold, opportunity came knocking on my door, when one of Ken's friends backed out from their group of 10. So yippee kai yeh, I'm now training to climb Big K. So I've temporarily hijacked this blog's sidebar, and used it as my progress status. Will be updating it everyday to make sure that I won't die halfway up the mountain in June.

Other than the good news, I fed about a thousand mesquitos at the now abandoned Pekeliling Flats when I was there to snap pics with lokgotz, chiewata and KK. It was an "Analog Day" for me. Brought my full arsenal of analog gear and started snapping. Only able to collect the films tomorrow, so will upload the pics then.

Saturday night was quite a bummer. Watched the devils get massacared in hell, and subsequently got massacared again at the watering hole that we were watching....and the day after! Started training for the Big climb. Went back to the gym last week, and will continue to jog, gym, climb mountains (hills) till the big day comes. I've got 14 weeks and counting. So wish me luck eh!

The Fab Four (minus one) recently went for the Jason Mraz concert, and had such a blast that one of us is still having "Life is Wonderful" on repeat wherever there is a radio/music playing device. I cant really blame her, as everywhere I go, I have his songs in my head as well. Was blog hopping just a while ago (mind you it's for work) and found some of his live videos. I think this version of Billie Jean is just awesome! Can't wait for Sunburst now! (hopefully still can get tix la!) Korn....here i come!!

Conquering the mountain (hill to be politically correct)

Was reading about Bukit Tabur from one of the photo forums, and they took really nice pictures. Was really eager to give it a go, so I asked some of the potential mountain climbers (aka those who will be climbing bigger mountains soon) for a climb.

All in all it was a really nice climb. Reached the foot of the hill at about 8. Slightly later than planned, but we managed to conquer Bukit Tabur in 4 hours.

It was tough during the early stages of the climb. But once our bodies got used to it, the journey began to ease a little. Until Mei Ling started to ask "are we there yet?" and "why don't I wait here for you guys instead?

It was quite cool how the other climbers (there were many many many climbers that morning) were all really friendly and curteous. Unlike your average typical Malaysian. They greet you. They ask if this is your first time. And they give you advice if you are noobs like us!

Do not let the fatigued look deceive you. The thumbs up takes priority.

Saying that, Bukit Tabur is great for first timers. Though on a scale of 1 - 10 for difficulty, I rate BT a 7. Just because the climb is more than just jungle trekking. They were times that we had to do "real" climbing ala Tom Cruise in MI-2.

We bumped into a group of young climbers and sort of tagged along. Its "funner" with more ppl on the climb together. Eventhough it would slow the whole group down a lil more.

A great achievement for a Saturday morning. Which I normally just sleep away. I'm up for another climb soon! This time, hopefully I'll be able to catch the sun rise. So if anyone's interested (and does not have back problems), lets start arranging the next climb!

Legalise Siesta!!

I just found the best ever sleeping pill for those that suffer from insomnia. Here's the recipe:

Ingredients
1) One (1) plate of nasi lemak with sambal, peanuts, ikan bilis, and cucumber
2) One (1) fried chicken
3) Add one (1) more bowl of nasi lemak for added effect
4) One (1) mug of milo dinosaur

Method
Take all of the above ingredients at approximately 2pm. Walk into a air-conditioned room, and stare at the computer screen for the next five minutes. Sleeping should come into effect in a matter of minutes if not seconds. To better the above method, try doing the rain dance as it enhances the sleeping effect.

Hmm, i think i figured out the answer to my question yesterday. Heart vs Mind.

It doesnt need to be a war between the heart and the mind. You can have the best of both world! How? You simply control it! I just figured that we are actually very very strong human beings that can have total control of how you should feel, live and behave.

Doesn't matter which comes first - you can put your mind to do something, your heart will follow. You can also do as your heart tells you, your mind will help you get there!

At the end of the day - what really matters is live your life the way where you won't look back in regrets! Remorse is good enough :-)

Should it be mind over heart or heart over mind? Apparently heart often caused us to do stupid things. Emotional things. Things you may regret simply cos you don't think before you act.

But how about the saying that says, "just follow the heart"... let your heart decide what is the right thing to do. So what if it is something stupid. At least you are true to yourself because you follow your heart...

So what should we do? Choose mind over heart so you will always do the right thing, but ignore how you really feel? Or choose heart over mind, so you will be true to yourself but most time, you end up screwing yourself over.

It’s always situation like these that gets you thinking. Of how minuscule we the human race really are. What more, myself, yourself, ourselves as an individual. We always think that we have the worse problems faced (don’t know about you guys, but sometimes I do get that feeling). But when you sit down, and look around, you then realize that, hey, this shit ain’t all that bad. Some other poor fella is going through so much more shit that what I am going through.

Life is full of shit. Whether you like it or not, we have to face it, and trudge through it, either with a smile, or with a frown (and the occasional finger gesture). Twenty four years is not a lot. To the Elves, that is nothing but a new born, but I think that I have learnt so much, not from my own experiences, but also from the experiences of the people around me.

As the great T. I sang:

What you gotta do is to be thankful for the life that you got, you know what I’m sayin,

Stop lookin at what you aint got,

And start bein thankful for what you do got.

And I whole heartedly appreciate and cherish the friends that I have around me. I am one of the lesser beings that will never (ever) be able to live without friends…no seriously, coz there are some higher mortals that are able to live in isolation and need not have friends to survive. Bless them, as I feel that they are superior beings with supernatural powers to do so!

Here's my list of NiNE resolutions with sub-points for year 200NiNE!!

1. Get rid of Waja, get Toyota Vios - DONE!!!!

2. Loose 5kgs every 3 mths, aim 20kgs by end 2009
- cut carbo, absolutely no french fries
- go gym 4 days/wk: Mon am, Wed & Thur pm, Sat am
- eat latest by 8pm
- eat slower
- go Zazen 3 days/wk: Mon, Tues & Thur

Progress: lost THREE kilos before CNY.... so far didnt weigh myself yet...

But i just had the most memorable and bestest birthday surprise ever! It was the mother load. My colleagues ambushed me at the mamak with party poppers ala a "drive by shooting" and announced to everyone at the mamak that it was my birthday! Haha, I think the table next to us was abit shocked, that a silver Waja just screeched to a halt and stick out stuff that goes "BANG".

To top it all off, instead of cutting a cake, I got to enjoy DURIAN!!! THANKS GUYS!

Hmm...it's surprising how quiet the office is despite the fact that our bosses are away and won't be back till next week. Just goes to show that we are just a responsible bunch of employees. To answer your predicted Q, I'm on a five minute break and I have the sudden inspiration to blog. Which rarely happens btw..

Anyhoo, something's been bugging me a couple of days back. See, recently I had a discussion about general things i.e. relationships, guys, girls, family etc..with a fren. It somehow led this fren to make an interestingly honest statement about me. A very BOLD statement in which I took personally.

As much as i tried not to let it affect me, (because I'd hate to allow people, be it significant or insignificant in my life, affect the way i feel) it did!

This is completely frustrating because i'm not sure if i'm really pissed with the fren or am i just pissed with me for allowing this...this puny, uncalled for, shallow and trivial comment evoking all this unnecessary emotions.

I don't quite remember how it was phrased but, it almost felt like it meant to imply..

"You are not the prettiest person but at least adorable, If you want to look better, you should lose weight,"

"You don't dress up very much. Perhaps if you do, more attention will come your way,"

I admit, to start a conversation on personal preferences of the opposite sex, are bound to draw comments of that sort to come bite me in the ass.

Perhaps it's what they call...karma. For all the cruel and nasty statement, comments or judgements I've made on people who DESERVED them. Oh well, if this is how the world works, then FINE! I'll just join the club.

So i hereby, announce and officiate Friday Bitchfest to be held every Friday nights at any bars that serves cheap and descent alcohol. Boys and girls, straight or gay are welcome to join. It'll be a night of drinking and bitching about anyone and everyone under the sun.

I was just given a really pleasant surprise over dinner a while ago. On the pretext that it was Deb’s farewell dins, (she’s leaving at the end of this month) we had dinner at De Foodland at Bandara Menjalara. Didn’t suspect a thing,

and even till the cake with the words “One year older, one year wiser” was on the table did I even for a second not think it was all for Deb’s farewell.

Let me brush off the cobwebs before I start. *cough cough*

So much for wanting to start a blog for the few of us. Sigh, hot hot chicken shit only.

Anyways, it was so exciting to watch Chong Wei and Sony play. We didnt have a TV in the office. SO we had to watch the live scores being refreshed every 15secs. Everytime the numbers change, I squeak! (cannot scream too loud. Kacau the rest in the office. Kena marah by my manager adey!)

Chong Wei beat Sony 21:9 in the first set. He went on to finish the match 21:11 in the second. He now meets either Bao Chun Lai of China, or Lee Hyunil of Korea who will be playing this evening!

Lets hope Peter Gade beats Lin Dan tonight. It will be interesting to see him lose!

Hi, my name's Melissa and I'm a virgin blogger.
So what do virgin bloggers blog about for the first time? Do I need some sort of security protection from ....hackers? Will I be transmitted with any virus or bugs if I don't? Any new blogging trends or jargons that i should be aware of? I'd really appreciate if you guys can drop any tips or comments for me to avoid any embarassing blogging moments ;)
